We partner with schools to provide a hands-on woodwork experience by bringing a dedicated woodwork teacher, along with tools, materials, and curriculum, directly into the classroom—no permanent shop required! Through guided, age-appropriate projects, students build design skills, craftsmanship, and the ability to think creatively with their hands.

Our Services

Foundations Through Playful Building (K - 4th Grade)

Our youngest builders are introduced to the joy of making through safe, guided, hands-on projects. Students learn basic tool use, simple measuring, sanding, assembly, and finishing techniques in a highly structured environment.

Projects are designed to build:

  • Fine motor skills

  • Patience and focus

  • Basic design thinking

  • Confidence through completion

At this stage, the emphasis is on exploration, creativity, and pride in building something real with their own hands.

Skill Development & Design Thinking (5th - 8th Grade)

Middle school students move from introductory skills to more structured craftsmanship and problem-solving. They learn accurate measuring, safe tool handling, joinery basics, and project planning.

Students begin to:

  • Read and create simple plans

  • Work with increased independence

  • Apply geometry and math in real-world contexts

  • Refine precision and craftsmanship

Projects become more detailed and purposeful, encouraging responsibility, resilience, and collaborative learning.

Portfolio-Focused, Curriculum-Connected Learning (9th - 12th Grade)

At the high school level, the program complements existing academic coursework by giving students the opportunity to apply what they are learning in a tangible, creative way. Woodworking projects can connect to subjects such as design, art, engineering, entrepreneurship, environmental studies, and mathematics.

Students will:

  • Design and complete original, portfolio-ready projects

  • Develop planning and project management skills

  • Document their process from concept to completion

  • Create polished pieces suitable for college applications, art portfolios

The emphasis is on thoughtful design, personal expression, and producing meaningful work that strengthens students’ academic and post-secondary goals.

The School Woodshop

Not every school has a woodshop. Not every student has held a saw, measured a board, or felt the pride of building something with their own hands. We’re here to change that.

Our program brings a dedicated woodwork teacher directly into schools, transforming ordinary classrooms into creative workshops. With tools, materials, and a thoughtfully designed curriculum,  we make hands-on learning accessible — no permanent shop required.

Through guided, age-appropriate projects, students move from ideas to sketches to finished pieces they can hold and say, “I made this.” Along the way, they learn more than woodworking. They learn patience, precision and problem-solving skills. In a world that often lives on screens, we give students the chance to slow down, think deeply, and build something real. Because when students build with their hands, they also build confidence.
