At the high school level, the program complements existing academic coursework by giving students the opportunity to apply what they are learning in a tangible, creative way. Woodworking projects can connect to subjects such as design, art, engineering, entrepreneurship, environmental studies, and mathematics.

Students will:

  • Design and complete original, portfolio-ready projects

  • Develop planning and project management skills

  • Document their process from concept to completion

  • Create polished pieces suitable for college applications, art portfolios
