At the high school level, the program complements existing academic coursework by giving students the opportunity to apply what they are learning in a tangible, creative way. Woodworking projects can connect to subjects such as design, art, engineering, entrepreneurship, environmental studies, and mathematics.
Students will:
Design and complete original, portfolio-ready projects
Develop planning and project management skills
Document their process from concept to completion
Create polished pieces suitable for college applications, art portfolios
The emphasis is on thoughtful design, personal expression, and producing meaningful work that strengthens students’ academic and post-secondary goals.
